Election Day Voting
- If you are unable to register to vote ahead of time, you can register and vote on Election Day. To do so, go to the polling place for the address where you are living on Election Day. You will need to show proper identification to prove your identity and current residence.

College Students
- College students CAN vote in Des Moines as long as you register here. Just follow the registration requirements above.
* If you are either a resident of another state and are attending college in Des Moines, or you are an Iowa resident of another county and are attending college in Des Moines, you can vote in Des Moines.
